Well, maybe life isn’t, but vacation is – for me. My family and I are hanging out in Jacksonville, Florida, this week with my mom. my sister and her family. We went to the beach today and the pool (among many other things!). Of course the beach was a big hit. What’s not to like with sand, waves and tidal pools? I actually found a couple of nice shells, got to show the kids how a sand flea burrows into the sand and we tried to catch minnows. But the big find was a starfish. This is the first starfish I’ve ever found – so I documented it, of course!
The starfish is a deep purple with light orange.
But the best part of the day… having Xen hold the starfish, then watching her face because she has a “sensitive nose”!
