I wanted to let you know about a great thing that one of my wedding clients is doing this Saturday. Judd, and future wife Amy, are hosting a croquet tournament and BBQ to raise money in a grassroots effort to cure cancer. It's a really cool idea and I want to encourage all of you to come by the party.
Everyone is welcome. They have croquet matches with prizes, a moon walk for the kids, and live music by Sunflower Brass and the SnotRockets. There will be a pig roast, Boulevard Pale Ale for the adults and juice for the kids.
Judd says to feel free to bring a side dish or dessert, special beverages for you and a lawn chair or blanket. Bring a little something to put in the bucket*, too – last year they raised over $5000 and have raised $30,000 in the last 6 years.
This will be Judd's 7th year hosting this party in memory of his mother. I think this kind of activism is super-cool and I couldn't be more excited to be included. I'll be there with my family and we'll see if I still "have it" when it comes to croquet.
