I have a good friend from college who, when we get to Seattle, we make sure to spend a good amount of time with. My daughter is enthralled with the whole family – Christi, her husband Dan, and their son, Grant. Needless to say, we like them, too! Here are some photos from the first part of our Seattle trip – where we got to spend the night on Christi & Dan's boat and then go sailing with them the next day in the Sound.
As with all friends of photographers, Christi & Dan were thrilled that I was taking pictures of them!
Here Dan does something important looking. I think he just wanted me to take more pictures of him!
My daughter was super psyched to be actually driving the boat. She still mentions it as her favorite thing about our trip to Seattle.
Here she is looking proudly into the camera. She did a great job of learning port and starboard! (And my wife and I were worried that she might feel sick or not like sailing. She passed out on the way back, easily sleeping while we were heeled over.)
Just a little boat art. I loved the sun trying to peek over the sail.
Don't they look regal? Their family of 3 lives on the beautiful 42-foot Halberg Rassy.
We had such a great trip and so much fun hanging out with Christi, Dan & Grant. We can't wait to go on another sailing adventure soon. Thanks! ~ Doug
