Eddie is the last of the Kessler clan to wed. I photographed Erin's wedding first, then Christi's wedding, and finally, in Seattle, on August 9th, I photographed Eddie's wedding. The Kessler's have been family friends since I met Christi at KU around 1989 and it was amazing to photograph all the Kessler "kids" weddings.
Eddie & Megan
Megan starts her day at the salon.
Bride from the back – always been a favorite shot of mine.
OK – this is classic. This couple thought they were the center of attention until they saw Megan walk by.
Megan has an apartment nearby and grew up just down the road from this street sign. Her mom mentioned that she had to have walked by this corner a thousand times.
Megan's meeting her dad for the first time on her wedding day. The ceremony was going to be an outdoor affair until the weather changed the plans. The reception was planned to be at the very cool community center just 3 doors down, so that's where the wedding ended up as well.
The beautiful flowers were done by a close family friend.
I've always wanted to shoot a wedding with umbrellas – they can be so cool looking. I know no bride hopes for rain on her wedding day, but it was no real surprise that it could happen in Seattle. Luckily it only sprinkled here and there for the most part.
Megan waits with her mom as the bride's maids walk down the aisle.
Megan and her mom and dad (mom's hidden by the door) prepare to enter and walk down the aisle.
Eddie watches as Megan comes down the aisle.
I liked this shot of the groom, too.
More beautiful bouquets.
I think Eddie's happy with this union!
Eddie hugs both his sisters, Erin (left) and Christi.
Eddie & Megan share a more private moment outside the center.
I really just love the light on this photo. Christi is a proud aunt.
Sammy is Erin's oldest (Max was in the previous photo). Isn't he adorable?
Eddie and Megan's first dance.
Well, I've got thousands of other photos (I was there all week), but this gives you a quick look at the wedding day. Thanks again for letting me be a part of it. I wouldn't have missed it for anything!
