This shoot was the epitome of what I love to do — chase kids around with my camera and HOPE I get something. Yes, it can be a bit stressful, as I never really know what I'm going to get. And this one was a challenge — the youngest ("R") was super fast and liked to run away from me. I'm used to kids avoiding my camera — but they still stick around while doing so. This one just kept taking off. And what did I do? Took off after her. Good thing I'm a runner; otherwise, that could have hurt.
We went to the Nelson, which is, I admit, a really fun place to run around. I suppose if I wanted these kids to be boring and stand still, I would have made them shoot in a box. Of course, "R" would have found a way to break out of it. :-)
This is R's sister E, who seemed to get most of the pics, since R was busy running.
Actually, her run was more like a modified skip, and it always accompanied a smile on her face. WHEEEEEEEEEE!!!
And then she would stop to take a break. This look is a killer — she's so striking! Gorgeous.
Sister E is so cute, as well. She's super sweet — and definitely played it up for the camera.
I remember riding on my dad's shoulders when we walked up to the KU stadium to watch the Fourth of July fireworks. Dads (and moms): you definitely get the short end of the deal and put on a brave face, but just know that we never forget those rides.
Thanks, Angie & Tim, for sharing your girls with me. I had a blast!!!
