Photographing another photographer's wedding is awesome. I've had the honor to shoot several photographers' weddings and it's always fun. They think visually, of course, so typically the venue has great access and is beautiful. Last night was no exception. Patrick (p.binder.photography) and Holly's wedding was at The Jones, which is an uber-cool urban location, perched on top of a parking garage at 13th and Main, with green-space that is managed by the city.
Patrick has been a friend of ours for a while. But it just so happens that he is also the younger brother of our fabulous friend Elle of Elle Silverworks.
This wedding was also fun because all of Kdog got to shoot it. It was great to see what each of us took away from the wedding and it made for a very well-rounded shoot.
Holly & Patrick wore Chucks – but only Patrick wore what he called "cool socks".
The original wedding shoes in-hand, the Chucks comfortably on foot.
Philip helps give Patrick a boost so he can peer over the wall. Who says your photographer can't be helpful, too?
I absolutely LOVE this shot of Patrick tying his tie. Rachel shot this with a 50mm 1.2 — it is beautifully in- and out-of-focus in all the right places.

The ceremony space, which was adjacent to The Jones, was SO cool. It had such a neat urban feel, yet a neat and clean field-like feel. I love the buildings surrounding the space…
… and towering over it.
Such a cute couple!
I love this hugging shot and it wasn't until later that I realized it was my wife who was doing the hugging!
Philip did some really cool portraits (more on that later). This is one of his fun portraits of Elle, Patrick's sister.
There was a "pillow room" at The Jones. Philip did some portraits here, too. Looks comfy, doesn't it?
When you enter into The Jones, you go through what I call the Blue Room. It is lit by dozens of blue LED lights and was a fun place to do some quick portraits of the couple.
A portrait of Patrick in the bathroom, of course.
Well, you can't have a reception with a pool and not have people get wet… Here, Patrick, stripped out of his suit, take the plunge into the pool.
A friend of the groom's jumped into the pool in full-dress. Love it!
Patrick and Holly — it was loads of fun to document your wedding day. Thanks for making us a part of it! ~ Doug
