Well, I'm dying to get a full blog done from Amy & Judd's wedding, but it's been such a crazy month already that I'm just going to start out with a teaser photo.

Amy & Judd were such an awesome couple to shadow on their wedding day. I promise I'll have more photos to show, but for now here is one of them right before the reception began.

A Father’s Day Wedding

Amy & Evan’s wedding day started out really wet. It was a dark and stormy day… until I pulled up in front of their house to start photographing the wedding preparation. Then the day cleared up and only once did a brief shower try to spoil the day. (I’m not saying I caused the break in the weather… I’m sure it was just a coincidence.)

There’s something about this shot that I love. This is when Amy & Evan are leaving the chapel right after getting married. I love the position of their hands and that there’s just enough in the photo to know that it was at a wedding.

This could be one of the cutest little girls ever. Her eyes just draw you in.

Did I mention that Rachel was helping me with this wedding. She let me borrow her for about an hour and a half so I could get two angles at Pilgrim Chapel. She shot this beautiful image of the bouquet in the back window of the Bentley. (She also shot the photo of Amy and her dad walking down the aisle.)

This is a fun shot of Amy & Evan in the rear view mirror of the Bentley.

I really love this shot, too, of Evan holding his boutonniere while riding to the reception.

When it did decide to rain on us, it allowed time for the under-tent festivities – dances & toasts,

It was still raining at this point, but well worth getting wet so I could shoot through the trees. Luckily the trees blocked most of the rain and having planned ahead, I had squirreled away a dry towel in my camera bag so I could dry off my equipment.

060708 – can you really ever forget that anniversary?

Or… are you really in trouble if you _do_ forget your anniversary with such an unforgettable date?!

Well, I photographed Amanda & Guy a couple of weeks ago for their wedding on that date. They had a beautiful ceremony at The Cathedral downtown and had their reception at The Club on Baltimore (where the old Kansas City Club used to be). Here are some photos from that day.
