Bottomed out with Brian

I had the pleasure of photographing Brian on Tuesday – a senior in Atchison and the brother of Andrea whom I photographed last year for her senior pictures. We decided to shoot down in The Bottoms and got some really fun stuff.

downtown night

I shot a wedding Saturday in the downtown area. It was great fun and I got some great stuff – but I'm not yet ready to blog about it (there's still editing and toning to do). But I do have some photos to share that I shot on the way back to my car. I had about 3 blocks to walk from the Club on Baltimore to the garage that my car was parked in, so I took some time (really, very little time 'cause I was tired) to shoot a few frames.

I love the color of night. Downtown has those crazy sodium vapor lights, which glow yellow. And the buildings always have fun colors emanating from within.

As I walked by one of the theaters I had to stop when I saw these two ladies chatting it up inside. The windows on the doors made for a fun composition.

I love these convex mirrors – here's a self-portrait with the moon up high and the convention center construction on the left.

I had an afternoon shoot also on Friday. Carly is our KC Magazine rep and has been wonderful to work with. When our May promotion went out in KC Magazine I encouraged Carly to come down for a shoot. So she and Gracie (her dog) met me at Loose Park for a shoot. Here are some pix from that. ~ Doug
